About me

About me

I joined Stirling Management School in 2022 having previously worked at the School of Management, University of St Andrews . My research focuses on economic inclusion and democracy through a consideration of fair work in inclusive economies, and business ecosystems for inclusive economies and sustainable communities

My professional activities include member of the editorial board of the European Management Journal.

I welcome enquiries from potential research students in the following areas: Worker-owned firms, Inclusive economies, Participation at work.

Research (1)

My programme of research on sustainable and responsible organisations engages directly with UN Sustainable Development Goals and is comprised of two interrelated work streams: the role of fair work in inclusive economies; and business ecosystems for inclusive economies and sustainable communities. I often explore these areas using an identity work perspective. By means of a critical engagement with ‘inclusive growth’ debates, my work seeks to positively disrupt traditional business models that underpin the problems the SDGs seek to address. In the same vein, my teaching focuses on fair work, organisational justice, ethics, alternative organisations (especially worker ownership), PRME principles, and inclusive growth.
